Overview

Quality assurance on Learnille relies on a strict, multi-tiered testing strategy spanning unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end (E2E) testing, and automated linting.

🧪 Testing Taxonomy & Playbooks

1. Full Application Real-E2E Playbook

  • Strict Rule: NO MOCKING permitted in end-to-end specs.
  • Specs boot the real NestJS AppModule against test databases.
  • Real authentication via /auth/login (getAuthToken(app)).
  • Assertions strictly validate UUID regex formats, non-empty slugs, and full business domain journeys.

2. Test Plan

  • Comprehensive test coverage goals (80%+ unit test coverage for services and controllers).
  • Regression test suites for payment workflows and wallet withdrawals.

3. Test Cases & Suites

  • Detailed test cases mapping course editor multi-step wizard, booking availability slots, and withdrawal OTP verification.
